    When it comes to creating good health, there is no doubt that the foods we consume can either help us or harm us.  But did you also know that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it?  Our skin is the largest organ in our body and much of what you place on your skin goes into your blood stream and affects your total toxic load.  A high toxic load has been shown to have a direct effect on the following:


    • Decreased energy

    • Hormone imbalances

    • Accelerated aging process

    • Increased weight gain

    • Modification and suppression of your genes

    • Weakening of bones

    • Cellular damage

    • Impaired ability to clear toxins from the body


    Knowing this, I highly recommend purchasing and consuming the cleanest foods and products you can afford and staying away from anything that is toxic.

    Below are the top categories of consumer products and food sources that contain toxins.  When you click on the image you’ll see a buying guide from the Environmental Working Group (EWG). The EWG publishes a wide variety of consumer guides on their site and have a search function that allows you to check the ingredients and safety profiles of 1000’s of products. It is my go-to source to figure out which foods/products are going to be safe for my family, and which I should steer clear of.
