Autoimmune Disease

    Home Autoimmune Disease
    Overweight and diabetes

Being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease does not have to be a lifelong struggle.

In my practice I’ve seen patients who have been living with autoimmune illnesses for years with no other treatment options than immune suppressing drugs and pain medications.  Others have been told they have an autoimmune disease but their doctors aren’t able to tell them exactly what it is or what’s causing it.

In my opinion, neither of these realities are acceptable or necessary.

Below are the top 6 scientifically researched factors involved in the development of autoimmune disease:

    1. Toxins: exposure to mold, solvents/chemicals, glyphosate, heavy metals (mercury, aluminum, cadmium etc.)

    2. Inflammatory diet:  gluten, sugar, soy, dairy

    3. Leaky Gut/Intestinal Permeability

    4. Stealth Infection(s):  bacteria, parasites, yeast, viruses

    5. Unmanaged stress and/or unresolved trauma

    6.  Genetic predisposition

Specialized functional medicine testing and treatment can identify the triggers contributing to the disease state.  Once we know the causative factors, we can begin to remove them and strategically support your body so your healing can get underway.

Our short term goal is to halt your symptom progression so no further damage to your body occurs.

Our long term goal is to ultimately reverse the disease state so you can begin to re-claim your health and get back to doing the things you love.
