Your body composition is a key indicator of your overall health. In determining wellness, you need to know more than just your weight. Excess body fat relative to lean body mass can significantly increase your risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, arthritis, Type II diabetes, and several forms of cancer. Monitoring body composition is not only critical to the evaluation, treatment and management of your health condition, it’s also a great motivational tool.
In my practice I use a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis Machine which is a state-of-the art, high-tech scale that measures the following:
– Total body weight
– Lean muscle mass
– Body fat %
– Total fat mass
– Bone mass
– Metabolic vs. biological age
– Hydration status
– Fat free mass
– Body Mass index
– Basal Metabolic Weight
A full colour one-page report is provided after each test. This report outlines your results and compares it with your historical results, so you track your success.
